About Teenage Cancer Trust Each day in the UK, 6 teenagers are diagnosed with cancer and many are treated on inappropriate facilities with older people or very young children. Teenage Cancer Trust builds specialist wards for teenagers with cancer in NHS Hospitals. The charity currently has 7 units in London, Leeds Manchester, Liverpool, Sheffield, Newcastle and Birmingham. Units cost an average £1.5m each to build and TCT needs at least 20 units so that every teenager with cancer can have access to one. The charity also funds an education and awareness team that visits schools and colleges across the UK to inform them about the charity and cancer in young people.
