After some worryingly average but nonetheless brave contestants, the high-flyers turned-out in force: the iron-forged 'Turak' was solid, 'Wildthing 37' brought speed and pink trousers to the stage, and 'Boy Named Sue' was as sweet and deadly as ever.



The Axel Vicious was more vicious than last year, and the current UK Champion 'Midnight Moses' guitar unfolded out of his newly acquired top hat. But let we tell thee, Otwas Decu-Chan that blew them all away in the 1st round: with a razor sharp performance that was as much Bruce Lee as Gary Moore.

But round 2 is the true test of a performer, and in round 2, out of nowhere Wildthing37 nailed every note of the 60 second edit of 'Killing in the name of'.



But nails were bitten and hair was pulled-out as an Air-off had to be called to between 2 level-peggers. Boy Named Sue and Wildthing37 were both magnificent and both tight, and though she would annihilate most mortals on such a stage, it was Wildthing who swung it.

He is now our best hope for victory at the World Championships in Finland. Wildthing, we love you!
